Chef Akmal Anuar is a Singaporean culinary innovator and restaurateur now based in Dubai, known for his modern interpretation of traditional flavors. Following his culinary roots from his family’s hawker stall, he has established acclaimed restaurants in Dubai. Harummanis 51 is a heartfelt tribute to the rich culinary legacy of Singaporean-Malay cuisine. With over three decades of purpose and passion behind it, the journey began with a simple mission, to serve the community with authentic, soulful food. Today, that journey has led to global recognition and a proud place in the Michelin Guide.
At Harummanis, each dish reflects heritage, crafted from recipes passed down through generations. Traditional flavours are elevated with refined technique and thoughtful storytelling, while handcrafted jamu baskets pay homage to time-honored wellness rituals that span centuries.
